If you are watching the stories coming out of America and want to move away from a certain platform owned by the guy who owns/makes popular electric vehicles, then the answer may well be ‘Bluesky’.

And no, we aren’t talking about a way of thinking.

We are talking about ‘Bluesky’, the microblogging platform that is gaining lots of new members thanks to recent events.

Bluesky has been around since 2019, starting life as an internal project at Twitter. This then morphed into the decentralised, open source platform that launched in 2022 completely separate to Twitter.

Although it suffered a setback initially, with its original CEO actively telling its users to stick with X, it has since been taken over by Jay Graber and is going from strength to strength.

Who is Jay Graber? She is a software engineer with a background in decentralised tech and privacy focused cryptocurrency.

Bluesky is essentially how social media platforms used to be before their expansion into the corporate stratosphere.

So, if you are looking for a new outlet, why not give it a go.
