Whilst the summer doesn’t officially end until the 22nd of September, the back to school time tends to bring with it the ability to get back into a normal working routine for many.
While the mindset of getting back to the normal work routine is quite a depressing idea, it is also a fantastic way of getting back into the swing of things with intention and purpose.
Let’s get going.
Step 1: Allow yourself to step away
May sound a little counter-productive to encourage you to step away from work, but bear with us here.
Now is a great time to think about your aims for work, your future plans, and even on a personal level to establish your working hours or schedule to allow yourself to maximise productivity.
Write it down, map it out.
Step 2: Review your work
Take stock of everything – this includes…
- Stock levels
- Invoices – what’s outstanding etc
- Are your accounts up to date - that can be as much or as little that works for you, even if that’s just ensuring that your receipts are organised
- Review your online presence – for example your website, social media, and any online blogs.
- Check your security – for example your passwords and any backups you might want or need for your business
Step 3: Plan for your Resources
Look at combining what you have established in step 1 and 2 above.
Start to put whatever it is that you need in place to ensure that the period between now and Christmas is going to work for you and your business.
This could be as simple as implementing your new working schedule, making amendments to your website, and even getting photos done ahead of any Christmas campaigns that you might want to run.
Remember that whilst not everything has to be done straight away, it’s a good idea to set deadlines for tasks to ensure that you keep yourself on track.
Also, keep in mind, that not everything has to be done by you. There is a huge network of agencies and businesses out there that you can partner with – including us – to help implement your business plans and ideas.
Step 4: Stay Positive
As we head towards the end of 2025, don’t panic or worry, you are exactly where you are meant to be and you can make the coming months the best ever to launch yourself into a great 2026!
