Its very easy to say that Facebook has been mired in controversy over the past few years. Now, they are looking to make a fresh start with a redesign of the social media platform.
This redesign is aiming to redesign the interface, but also to reinforce trust and security. The new version of Facebook, codename ‘FB5’, is the biggest change to one of the most popular and used social media platforms since its launch.
The new look is sleek and users will find it more inline with the design of the Twitter interface. Facebook is facing the same problems as most websites and so they are taking this redesign opportunity as a chance to make the website and the app faster so that their users have a better experience when using the social media platform.
Facebook’s redesign should be coming into force soon, in the meantime we will be keeping an eye out for further updates in case there are implications on companies who use Facebook as part of their marketing efforts.
One of the questions that has yet to be answered is how Facebook ads are going to fit in to the new design as the mock ups shown by Facebook show distinctly fewer ads.
